The starters set the tone perfectly — from something as simple yet well-done as masala papad to the flavourful chicken and mutton preparations, everything was spot on. The main course truly lived up to the restaurant’s multi-cuisine claim. The biryani, naans, Indian chicken gravies and even the fried rice were all delicious, well-balanced in flavour, and served fresh. The dessert spread was the perfect finish — the shahi tukda, caramel custard and rasmalai were all rich, fresh and truly delightful. Overall, a satisfying experience for a large group, with consistent quality across courses.

Had an amazing lunch here today. Food taste, quality and quantity all were superb and subz dum biryani is a must try along with Gud ice cream and tandoori butter chicken. Service provided by Praveen was excellent and attentive , always with a smile. Worth a visit whenever in Mangalore.
Beautiful ambience, service was good, food was also delicious and I felt prices are reasonable. Overall had a good experience! *pics were taken after we ate 70% of the portion (almost forgot to take the pics)
This restaurant offers you wide range of veg and non-veg delicacies. The quality and taste are excellent, rates are reasonable. Service is swift and good. Ambience is excellent. It’s a Bar cum Family Restaurant.
Visited The Grand Kitchen at AJ Grand Hotel recently. The ambience is excellent—modern interiors, clean setup, and a premium feel. The service was great, and valet parking adds to the comfort. Food was a mix of hits and misses. The butter garlic prawns were tasty and well-cooked, but the portion was too small for the high price. The kulcha and naan were soft and fresh. However, the murg tikka lababdar didn’t impress—average taste and again, overpriced for the portion. Desserts were better. The shahi tukda was rich and delicious—definitely the highlight of the meal. The malpua with rabdi was okay, nothing special. Overall, it’s a nice place if you’re looking for good service and a premium dining atmosphere. But in terms of value for money, especially with the portion sizes and taste of some dishes, it falls short. I’d say it's better than average but not something I’d strongly recommend, unless you’re going for the ambience or a special occasion.
The Grand kitchen restaurant one is inside the AJ Grand Hotel serves phenomenal food. We ordered Kashmiri soup and it was authentic tasted delicious, Grilled chicken sandwich had a great texture, juicy and crunchy. Kashmiri kebab was just awesome sautéd with some capsicum and onions, Alfredo penne pasta was so rich and tasty, pretty much all the dishes were amazing. They have a great service team, Actually they have Grand service with very professional clean and elegant people, Serving style platters, presentation, garnishing of the food is top notch. Prices are reasonable, quantity of the food and quality of the food definitely worth it.. Ambience is clean paintings are goes well with the decor lighting are soothing very beautiful. I have been here many times never got disappointed, once they added too much salt to my fish curry but they fixed the problem and on the top of that they gave me 10% discount on entire bill. They care for their customers. Overall very nice place to dine in with the families. Definitely recommend to everyone one. Service team is exceptional. Parking is plenty and also they have a free valet service. They have an awesome clean restrooms, high end facilities.

A special mention goes to the Kitchen team for the delicious breakfasts and dinners, we enjoyed every meal. We are especially grateful to Mr. Sequiera Gerald, and Bhaskara whose exceptional attentiveness and helpful recommendations made a significant difference during our stay. They ensured that their team provided us with personalised service throughout. We also appreciate the Reception staff, particularly the young ladies who were always welcoming with a smile. The Front Office Manager was consistently present and attentive at his desk, which did not go unnoticed. We would also like to commend the gentleman responsible for handling the luggage, the porter as his assistance was invaluable and greatly appreciated. Thank you all for making our stay so pleasant, and definitely tye hotel is a place to stay during our next visit.
